Coinciding with the Olympics, MotorTrend's Hooptie World Championship spoofed the pomp and circumstance of the Games with this tongue-in-cheek competitive event. For the intro, I decided to pitch a slow, epic move up what appears to be the Olympic torch, only to reveal a flaming trash can on top. The logo I designed for the event is then revealed, which looks sporty and important, but is full of scratches and nicks. The competition took place in the Southwest, which explains the desert background.
